Welcome to parenthood! Starting as well as expanding your family through the birth and/or arrival of your child is a life-changing journey for all couples and families.
I never knew how much love my heart could hold until my son called me mummy. I’m a mum myself to a wonderful, enchanting boy and I still remember the emotional roller coaster ride of the first days, weeks and months together, very well. It was characterised by pure happiness, inexhaustible gratitude and unconditional love but also by countless sleepless nights and many worrying moments.
And let’s be honest,
these journeys, these roller coaster rides, although experienced by so many, feel unique because each one is just as special, individual and unique as our children.
The arrival of these little souls deserves a ceremony that not only marks the beginning of a new chapter of life, but also celebrates the uniqueness of the family connection. That’s why we chose a children’s welcoming ceremony with a celebrant for our son.
A children’s welcoming ceremony, which is often also referred to as a „naming ceremony“, is an alternative or supplement to a church baptism. The child is welcomed into life and into the circle of the family, without limiting the individual and free development of the child and without making specifications on the question of faith.
This ceremony is not about religion,
it is about your family and your little miracle.
You can determine guardians for your child’s life and you can also incorporate symbolic actions or rituals, there are no limitations when creating your welcoming ceremony.
With me as your celebrant, your children’s welcoming celebration would be marked by your personal and unique family history. As new parents as well as being an experienced family you are on an emotional journey, with a small part left behind and a significant part still lying ahead. This journey is to be cherished.
Not only should your child feel protected and loved, but you parents should also feel supported, strengthened and encouraged.

the words of my speech not only stand for themselves, but become invisible wings that wrap both you and your child in an embrace of security. My words accompany your family’s journey together delicately and protectively.
The wings I give to you are more than symbols of freedom; they are a constant reminder that your child and your family are surrounded by love and warmth. Together we can create an atmosphere in which these invisible wings become noticeable and your children’s welcoming celebration becomes an unforgettable experience.
You won’t find standard speeches and predefined rituals, in short: mass goods, at any of my events.
My speech will be individually and personally tailored to you,
your family and above all to your child. Because every child is unique, and every family has its own history.
There are many ways to make both a speech and a ceremony bilingual.
As an Englishwoman and a bilingual celebrant who has been living in Germany for over twenty years, I‘d be honoured to hold your children’s welcoming ceremony bilingual in English and German, but I’d also love to hold it exclusively in German or exclusively in English. Partial translations are also possible.
